Michelle Morand, MA, RCC
Co-founder and Managing Partner; Client Care
Michelle Morand is passionate about helping people and their families to access the best care available. That’s why, in addition to her role as Co-founder and Managing Partner of Cancer Treatment Options and Management, Michelle also plays a large role in CTOAM’s client care. With feedback from clients and the CTOAM team, Michelle also develops company protocols that allow our clients’ needs to be met quickly and effectively. She also regularly communicates with our clients and their families to ensure they're receiving the best cancer care possible.
Michelle has over 25 years experience as an entrepreneur and clinical counsellor: At the age of 29 she founded the CEDRIC Centre – a treatment facility for eating disorders and other addictions and related concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma and the establishment of healthy relationships. She has dedicated her professional career to helping others and pioneering innovative approaches to make their healing both rapid and lasting.
With Alex Rolland and the team at Cancer Treatment Options and Management, Michelle is putting her vast administrative, entrepreneurial and counselling skills to work for CTOAM clients and their doctors, so everyone gets rapid access to the information they need to make the most educated choices about their cancer care. Michelle believes that everyone who receives a cancer diagnosis deserves to have access to personalized genetic research – and to the best possible treatment for their cancer. And she is committed to making that goal a reality.
Client Care Coordinator and Administrative Manager
Gail immigrated from South Africa to Canada in 2012 and now lives in North Vancouver. Having studied Microbiology, she spent over 20 years working for a biotechnology company doing research and development. This R&D work included developing several monoclonal antibodies, as well as developing dendritic cells for the use in immunotherapy. In addition, it involved managing the cell culture activities in the production of EPO (Erythropoietin) using genetically engineered BHK cell line for commercial use.
In the years leading up to immigration, Gail worked as a medical office assistant for an orthopaedic doctor. She then took a meander through the world of SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) and also worked as an optician for a time. Now she’s extremely happy to have returned to her first love – helping people though medical advances.
Gail joined Cancer Treatment Options and Management as client care coordinator and administrative manager. Among other important things, she’s here to help ensure all of our clients have the best experience possible with their cancer care. Aside from work, Gail fills her life by doing pottery, reading books, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Family is one of the most important things to Gail, having come from a large family, and she makes it a priority.
