Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy plus Zoledronic Acid in Premenopausal Women

Zoledronic acid is a drug used to treat bone metastasis. Addition of Zoledronic acid to either tamoxifen or anastrozole increased disease-free survival by 36% compared with either tamoxifen or anastrozole alone. At a median follow-up of just under 4yrs, overall disease-free survival was 92.4 % and overall survival was 97.7 %. I like this approach because it shows the synergistic potential that that occurs with drug combinations compared with approaches that rely on single agents.
